Charlotte in One-derland, Alice in Wonderland First Birthday Theme. Royal Icing Decorated Sugar Cookies by The Flour Shoppe Cookie Co, Omaha Nebraska
This sweet 1st birthday is themed around Alice in Wonderland, but instead was Charlotte in One-derland. It’s a fun theme that I’ve created a few different times. I was sent the invitation and decor ideas, and used those to add details to this cookie set and you can see those below along with my sketch up of designs.
I chose the color palette based on the invitation the client sent for the party. I paired some classic Alice in Wonderland details (the playing card, the bottle that says “Drink Me”, the pocket watch, etc.) with the characters from the invitation, I piped and then hand-painted Alice and the White Rabbit from the stationery.

Boy-themed sets are kind of rare around here. I’m a mom of 3 boys, and I absolutely adore them and wouldn’t trade them for the world. But I’m super girly, love everything pink with bows and glitter. So I tend to book more girly sets, especially since that’s what I fill my portfolio and social media with. (Also, as a mom of boys, I know there aren’t a lot of non-character options after the boys start choosing their own themes.) But, boy baby shower set are probably the most common boy sets that I do, and this one was adorable!
The theme for this set was “We can Bearly Wait” and the invitation was simple, pastel blue gingham with a teddy bear. (You can see the invite below!) The baby’s name will be Brooks (which is my oldest son’s name!). For the cookies, I incorporated teddy bears and blue gingham along with some typical “go to” baby shapes. I airbrushed the background of some of the cookies to mimic the blue gingham from the invitation. On other cookies, I hand-painted the pattern. This set fell into my lowest tier, so it was slightly simpler, but I love the cute details.

If you’re planning a first birthday party, this is an adorable option. It’s a perfect theme for a spring birthday, especially if it’s close to Easter!
I used a very slightly muted pastel color palette that was inspired by springtime. I included bunny cookie cutters, birthday cookie cutters, and some basic plaques. I also covered the whole set in greenery and florals with a focus on early spring flowers like daffodils, lilacs, and peonies.
